Sunday, August 26, 2012 22:15 - At approximately 22:15 hours a commercial structure fire box was dispatched at 7800 Linglestown Road for smoke coming from the roof of the Citgo convenience store. Engine 36-1 arrived shortly after dispatch to find heavy smoke pushing from the eaves of the roof, forced entry into the building and advanced the initial attack line. Engines 36-3, 36-2, 36 and the Rescue Company arrived shortly after Engine 1 and fulfilled their assigned duties with the Engines supporting suppression and laddering the building and the Rescue Company opening the roof. Truck 34 arrived and assisted with rooftop ventilation. Engine 35 laid a supply line after which their crew and Engine 34 assisted with suppression. The fire was located in the enclosed cockloft and suppressed quickly after hooking the ceilings. After initial knock down and control Truck 48, Engine 39-1, Tanker 39 and Tanker 47 transferred to Station 36-1 to cover the Township. Units were on scene for approximately one hour.
