PLANNING UNDERWAY FOR A NEW STATION AND NEW ENGINE
Back in May 2006, the station committee began working on planning out a new firehouse somewhere in the vicinity of Route 22 & Jonestown Road in the township. The new firehouse will replace current Station 36-2 which is located on Route 39 at the far southern end of the township. The new station will eventually become the main headquarters for the fire company. Back in June 2006, the engine committee, under the direction of Captain Verbos, began working extremely hard on planning out a new front-line engine for the company. The plan is to make the new engine that is purchased Engine 36-1 and move the current Engine 36-1 to the position of Engine 36-2. AS SOON AS MORE INFORMATION BECOMES AVAILABLE IN THE NEAR FUTURE IT WILL BE POSTED! CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES!
